Professional Positions:

 

Psychiatrist, Adult Residential & Adolescent Residential: 

Contract physician needed for 12 hours per week split between adult residential and adolescent residential programs.  Schedule is flexible and location is in Thornton.  Complete diagnostic reviews, assessment and follow-up with clients and staff.  Provide medication management and on-call consultation to program staff and nurses.  Psychiatrist must have a minimum of two years experience with adult and adolescent services, be currently licensed in Colorado and be a Medicaid provider.  Experience working in the field of addictions preferred.  Closing date:  08/14/08

 


 

Senior Human Resource Generalist:  

Fulltime position in Thornton.  Maintain/ensure compliance with policies and identify/comply with various legal requirements.  Responsible for full recruitment cycle, job descriptions, FLSA categorization, and performance review administration.  Provide employee relations support and coaching to management and staff.  Participate in unemployment hearings, create and provide management/agency trainings and supervise one HR employee. Requirements include Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.  Minimum of three years related     experience with recruitment and employment.  Must have advanced computer and communication skills and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.   Strong familiarity with FMLA, COBRA, FLSA, ERISA, ADA and various other applicable state and federal regulations.  Closing date: 08/14/08

Research Associate (Bilingual Spanish): 

Part time position in Southwest Denver.  Duties include conducting structured interviews with research study participants, managing databases, and assisting the agency’s Statistician with quantitative and qualitative analyses.  Plan, organize and report on research in substance abuse and human services fields. Must be familiar and comfortable with the report writing process. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field, extensive experience with Access/Excel/Microsoft Office software and substantive knowledge of research and program evaluation.  Candidate should have effective communication skills and the ability to interact with culturally diverse populations.  Reliable transportation is necessary as this position will include frequent local travel and occasional out of town travel.  Position requires that individual must be able to speak and read English and Spanish fluently. Full time position available at our Littleton location. Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8:00-4:30pm and Wednesdays 8:00am -12:00pm/ 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Fulltime position (32 hours) working 12:00pm to 8:30pm Friday thru Monday in Littleton (near Broadway & Belleview).  New residential program starting for female offenders with substance  abuse and other co-occurring behavioral health issues.  Provide intakes, assessments, discharges and case management duties including individual client contact and linkage/service coordination.  Provide milieu management, support counseling activities record keeping and effective documentation.  Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services related field –and-     a Certified Addictions Counselor II. Part time position working Saturday and Sunday in Thornton.  Individual will conduct intakes, new client orientation, group facilitation and milieu management.  Requirements include a minimum of two years college and a minimum of one year experience working with adolescents. Family Therapist, New Directions for Families:

Full-time position at our women’s residential program in Littleton working Sunday through Thursday.  Provides individual and group counseling services to women on parenting issues.   Assist clients with family dynamics, treatment planning and therapeutic intervention for clients with co-occurring disorders.  Supervises on site child care facilities. Requirements include a Masters Degree in Clinical Services with 1000 hours documentable experience in substance abuse and/or a Certified Addictions Counselor II.  Must have a minimum of two years related experience.  Must have experience working with families and children in a human services setting, including focusing on family dynamics, parenting skills and family therapy. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required. Milieu Counselor On Call: 

Provide admission and discharge services as well as provide a safe environment for clients in detoxification or residential treatment programs.  This is an entry-level opportunity to gain experience in the substance abuse field.  Requirements include one year full-time college or equivalent, one year work experience in a service industry, reliable transportation, and willingness to work at different locations throughout the metro area.  Schedule requires availability working a variety of shifts including weekend, overnight and evenings.  Excellent pay.  Free access to Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) classes.  Closing date: Ongoing

 


Peer Mentor, Wright Center: 

Full time position with the Transitional  Residential Treatment program (TRT) in Wheat Ridge working varied shifts.  Provides treatment services to offenders in a residential program in Wheat Ridge.  Interact with the client population to provide guidance, safety, stability and direction.  Additional duties include supporting staff to assist clients in overcoming social and emotional problems, facilitating meetings and preparing minimal written reports.  Motivational interviewing is the primary approach used in working with clients.  Requirements include a High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience and education. Candidate must have experience with recovery and at least six months free of drug and alcohol abuse.  Compensation includes room/board plus minimum wage for hours worked.  Closing date: 08/14/08

 


 

Phone Counselor, Information and Access, Bilingual (Spanish): 

 

Part time position working Monday thru Friday 1:00pm-5:00pm in Thornton. Primary duty is phone counseling.  Assess client needs and level of treatment for addictions, make appointments and complete paperwork.  Requirements include a minimum of one year phone experience with a high volume of calls and high school diploma/GED.  Must have excellent data entry skills, typing skills  and customer service.  Prefer experience in a human services and/or non-profit environment.  Position requires that individual must be able to speak and read English and Spanish fluently.   Prefer flexibility in schedule to provide support and additional coverage on unit as needed.      Closing date:  08/14/08

 


 

Primary Counselor, Adolescent Residential: 

Fulltime position working Monday thru Friday in a residential program for adolescents.  Responsible for the provision of comprehensive substance abuse treatment services for clients with substance abuse/mental health issues.  Provide individual, group and family counseling services to clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Human Services or related field.  Must have current license (LCSW, LPC or LMFT) or be provisional license-eligible while working towards licensure.  Strongly prefer Certified Addictions Counselor II.  Minimum of two years documentable experience working with adolescents and one year related experience.
