NEW INFORMATION....The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) requires Counselors II and all professionals who facilitate therapy groups and/or counsel independently to be registered as an Unlicensed Psychotherapist.  Staff will have 60 days from their date of hire to provide proof of registering and being listed in the DORA database.  If you are already a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I, II or III), or hold a license as an LPC, LAC, LMFT or LCSW, you are already in the DORA database and do not need to be registered and listed as an Unlicensed Psychotherapist.

Counselor for Deaf and Hard of Hearing– Bilingual (English/ American Sign Language):

Full-time position in metro Denver area providing comprehensive substance abuse treatment services to hearing impaired clients in residential and outpatient programs. Individual will provide group, individual and family counseling services to clients with substance abuse/mental health issues. Requirements include BA/BS in related substance abuse/human services field, CACII, and fluency in American Sign Language.  Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI) is a plus.   Ability to travel locally and work some evenings or weekends to meet client needs.  Closing date:  07/09/2009

 


 

Counselor I, Aspen Center for Women:  

 

Two part-time positions working Saturdays and Sundays in Westminster (7:00am – 3:30pm or 3:00pm – 11:30pm).  Primary responsibility is milieu management.  Support clinical activities of the program, including client contact, co-facilitation of groups, case management activities. Assist in the provision of treatment services to residential clients and their children, as well as providing care services and maintaining the safety and security of clients and the facility. Requirements include a minimum of one year related experience.  Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred, but related experience may substitute. Certified Addictions Counselor II preferred. Conduct Level II DUI and psych/social classes in outpatient setting.  Requirements include Certified Addictions Counselor II (or a Masters degree in a related field with 1000 hours documentable experience in substance abuse), CAC II preferred, group facilitation experience, reliable transportation, and willingness to work at different locations throughout the metro area.  Schedule requires availability working evenings and Saturday days.  Excellent pay. Counselor II On-Call, Cultural Services, Bilingual (Spanish): 

 

On-Call position in Metro Denver. Individuals will provide group counseling and intake/assessment of individuals with substance abuse problems. Candidate must have the ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, verbally and in writing.  Ability to maintain positive working relationships with other professionals involved with the client.  Requirements include Certified Addictions Counselor II (or a Masters degree in a related field with 1000 hours documentable experience in substance abuse). Counselor Trainee:

Part-time position, Saturdays & Sundays, 7:00am-3:00pm, working in Wheat Ridge.   Individual will provide admission and discharge services as well as provide a safe environment for clients undergoing detoxification. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent; minimum of six months prior experience in a helping profession, CAC I preferred. Closing date:  07/08/2009

 


 

Milieu Counselor On-Call: 

 

Provide admission and discharge services as well as provide a safe environment for clients in detoxification or residential treatment programs.  This is an entry-level opportunity to gain experience in the substance abuse field.  Requirements include one year full-time college or equivalent, one year work experience in a service industry, reliable transportation, and willingness to work at different locations throughout the metro area.  Schedule requires availability working a variety of shifts including weekend, overnight and evenings.  Excellent pay.  Free access to Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) classes.  Closing date: Ongoing

 


 

Primary Counselor, Wright Center – Bilingual (Spanish): 

 

Two fulltime positions in Wheat Ridge with the adult Transitional Residential Treatment program (TRT). Day schedule of 8:00am – 5pm Monday through Thursday, and 7:00am – 4:00pm Friday, and swing shift schedule of 3:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Friday. Provide assessment and treatment services, discharge planning and case management.  Maintain positive relationships with referring agencies and referral sources.  Additional duties include patient charting, individual and group therapy, motivational interviewing and training sessions.  Requirements include a minimum of one year substance abuse counseling experience or training.  Master’s degree in Human Services and/or Certified Addictions Counselor II required. Candidate must have the ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, verbally and in writing.  Closing date: 7/09/09

 


 

Primary Counselor, Female Offender Program:

Full time position working days/evenings in Littleton (Sunday – Tuesday 7:00am – 3:30pm, Wednesday – Thursday 1:00pm – 8:30pm.)  Residential program for female offenders with substance abuse and other co-occurring behavioral health issues.  Provide assessments, intensive treatment services, individual therapy and group session facilitation.  Develop comprehensive treatment plans. Other duties include milieu management, effective documentation, record keeping, and crisis intervention.  Collaborate with other internal programs and external agencies.  Requirements include a Masters degree in Human Services related field –or- a Certified Addictions Counselor II. Prefer experience working with females and/or the offender population.  Closing Date: 07/09/2009


 

Team Supervisor, Transitional Residential Treatment - Bilingual (Spanish): 

 

Fulltime supervisory position at the Wright Center in Wheat Ridge overseeing the Transitional Residential Treatment program.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in Human Services  or related field (Master’s degree preferred), Certified Addictions Counselor III, a minimum of four years related experience (substance abuse) with at least two years of supervisory/management experience. Candidate must have the ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, verbally and in writing.  Closing date:  7/09/2009
