Denver Entire Family Focused Effective Comprehensive Treatment

Program Overview

This project is a three-year federal grant offered through the Children’s Bureau of the Administration for Children and Families, and will target families’ impacted substance abuse and co-occurring disorders with a specific emphasis on those affected by methamphetamine.  The project is a regional partnership with Denver Department of Human Services (DDHS), Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), and the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD).  The child welfare, alcohol and drug treatment and courts systems will join an interactive collaborative to provide a coordinated, comprehensive array of family-centered services.  Arapahoe House, Inc. and University of Colorado Health Science Center Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) will provide residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment with enhanced family services. Goals of the project include:

  • Coordinated case management across systems
  • Providing timely and appropriate substance abuse treatment for parents, children and extended family members
