PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS

Psychiatric or Advanced Nurse Practitioner:  Diagnose and treat patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders under the direction of medical director.  Full-time (36 hours per week, including on-call responsibilities for client emergencies and travel to multiple metro Denver locations). Requirements include current Colorado license APRN with NP Prescriptive Authority, Master’s degree and a minimum of four years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience), and proficiency with Microsoft Office.  Excellent communication and collaborative skills. Position requires frequent local travel, reliable transportation required.  Closing date:  3/18/2010.

 

Psychiatrist, Substance Use Disorder and Behavioral Health Services:  Full-time, Monday through Friday (flexible hours) in metro Denver.  Individual will provide diagnosis and treatment for patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.  Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation and follow-up with patients, relatives and consultation with staff.  Utilization of a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.  Requirements include MD or DO degree (or international equivalent), satisfactory completion of ACGME-accredited residency training program in General Psychiatry (adult psychiatrists), unrestricted Colorado medical license or license eligibility; ABPN Board-certification preferred  and a minimum of four years related experience and/or training. Experience in substance use disorders is preferred. Shared call work with Advance Nurse Practitioner/s. Majority of call work will be telephonic.  Closing date:  03/18/2010.

 

SUPPORT POSITIONS

Childcare Worker, on-call:  On-call position available at our Littleton location.  Supervise and teach children while their mothers participate in treatment services. Establish effective relationships with children and their mothers.  Requirements include a minimum of one year experience working with children ages six weeks to five years and Group Leader qualified as determined by state (may be met by documented experience, a Bachelor’s degree, child development/early childhood education courses, etc.).  Closing date: 3/18/2010

 

Food Service Worker: Full-time position in Thornton working Thursday through Monday 9:30am – 6:00pm (Sunday 6:30am-3:00pm).   Training provided.  Individuals will prepare meals according to menu for varying number of clients and staff.  Also responsible for cooking, serving, and delivering meals to various locations.  Great benefits, good pay.  Requirements are clean MVR.  Pre-employment drug testing is required.  Candidates should call Robbie Duba directly at 303-412-3652. On-Call Scheduling Assistant:  Part time administrative position providing assistance to the agency On-Call Counseling Pool. The successful candidate will cover the on-call phone during the off-hours of the On-Call Coordinator:  Monday-Friday: 5:30am - 7:30am; and 4pm - 11:30pm; Saturday and Sunday: 5:30am - 11:30 pm.  Requirements:  Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel and EXTREMELY DETAIL oriented to record & maintain data. Administrative experience is required.  Carry on-call phone during the off hours and must be available to occasionally work during the day (Monday-Friday) to provide vacation coverage for the On-Call Coordinator. CLINICAL POSITIONS

 

Counselor I, Adult Residential, Weekends:    Part-time position (16 hours), 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Saturday and Sunday in Thornton.  This is an entry level opportunity to gain experience in the substance abuse field.  Individual will provide group facilitation, help maintain safety, monitor clients and provide record management in the adult residential program, Healing First.  Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) or one year of college plus one year of documented work experience in behavioral health, and CAC I preferred, or the ability to receive within one year of hire date.  Certified Addictions Counselor II preferred.  Closing date:  3/18/2010

Assist in the provision of treatment services to residential clients and their children, as well as providing care services and maintaining the safety and security of clients and the facility. Counselor II, Adult Outpatient:  Part-time position for licensed professional at our Denver outpatient clinic working Tuesday and Wednesday, 12:00noon - 8:30pm; and Thursday 4:30pm – 8:30pm. Individual will administer IOP program leading three, three hour groups each week and be responsible for IOP caseload, including case management services. Requirements include licensure (LAC/LPC/LCSW/LMFT) and a clinical Master’s degree with 1000 hours documentable experience in addiction counseling work and 120 clock hours of addiction-specific education and/or training).  Two years experience of facilitating substance abuse treatment groups is preferred.  Closing date: 3/18/2010

 

Counselor II, Detoxification Services:  Full time position working 3:00pm – 11:00pm Tuesday through Saturday in Aurora.  Individual will conduct admission/ discharge services, conduct therapy groups and provide a safe environment for clients undergoing detoxification. Requirements are Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) with 18 months of documented work experience in behavioral health, plus a Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II); or CAC II preferred or the ability to receive within one year of hire date; or a clinical Master’s degree with 1000 hours documentable experience in addiction counseling work and 120 clock hours of addiction-specific education and/or training.  Closing date:  3/18/2010

 

Counselor II On-Call:  Conduct Level II DUI and psych/social classes in outpatient setting.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) with 18 months of documented work experience in behavioral health, plus a Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II); or CAC II preferred or the ability to receive within one year of hire date; license preferred (LCSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT), and a clinical Master’s degree with 1000 hours documentable experience in addiction counseling work and 120 clock hours of addiction-specific education and/or training), group facilitation experience, reliable transportation, and willingness to work at different locations throughout the metro area.  Schedule requires availability working evenings and some weekdays and Saturday days.  Excellent pay. Counselor II On-Call, Cultural Services, Bilingual (English/Spanish):  On-Call position in Metro Denver. Individuals will provide group counseling and admission/assessment of individuals with substance abuse problems. Candidate must have the ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.  Ability to maintain positive working relationships with other professionals involved with the client.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) with 18 months of documented work experience in behavioral health, plus a Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II); or CAC II preferred or the ability to receive within one year of hire date; license preferred (LCSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT), and a clinical Master’s degree with 1000 hours documentable experience in addiction counseling work and 120 clock hours of addiction-specific education and/or training). Milieu Counselor On-Call:  Provide admission and discharge services as well as provide a safe environment for clients in detoxification or residential treatment programs.  This is an entry-level opportunity to gain experience in the substance abuse field.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) or one year of college plus one year of documented work experience in behavioral health, and CAC I preferred, or the ability to receive within one year of hire date, reliable transportation, and willingness to work at different locations throughout the metro area.  Schedule requires availability working a variety of shifts including weekend, overnight and evenings, and holidays.  Excellent pay.  Free access to Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) classes.  Closing date: Ongoing

Phone Counselor, Information and Access – Bilingual (English/ Spanish):  Part time position working Monday through Friday, 9am-2pm (25 hours per week) in Thornton.  Primary duty is phone counseling.  Assess client needs and level of treatment for addictions, make appointments and complete paperwork.  Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services or related field and a minimum of one year phone experience with a high volume of calls.    Prefer experience in a human services and/or non-profit environment. Must have excellent customer service, data entry and typing skills. Candidate must have the ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing. Primary Counselor, Wright Center:  Full-time position in Wheat Ridge with the adult Transitional Residential Treatment program (TRT), 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Provide assessment and treatment services, discharge planning and case management.  Maintain positive relationships with referring agencies and referral sources.  Additional duties include patient charting, individual and group therapy, motivational interviewing and training sessions.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) with 18 months of documented work experience in behavioral health, plus a Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II); or CAC II preferred or the ability to receive within one year of hire date; license preferred (LCSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT), and a clinical Master’s degree with 1000 hours documentable experience in addiction counseling work and 120 clock hours of addiction-specific education and/or training). The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) requires Counselor II’s and all counseling professionals facilitating therapy groups and/or counseling independently to be registered as an Unlicensed Psychotherapist.  New staff will have 60 days from date of hire to provide proof of registration in the DORA database.  If you are already a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I, II or III), or hold a license as an LPC, LAC, LMFT or LCSW, you are already in the DORA database and do not need to register as an Unlicensed Psychotherapist.
