Arapahoe House offers DUI education and therapy in English, Spanish and
American Sign Language for drug or alcohol‑related driving citations. Our six outpatient clinics are located in and around metro Denver, Colorado for ease and convenience.
Level I DUI Education
[Total Hours: 12]
- Generally, Level I Education is for first time DUI offenders who have a low blood alcohol level at the time of their offense, < .08 and no other indicators of a substance use illness.
- Level I Education classes are only held on weekends – 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Level II DUI Education
[Total Hours: 24]
- Level II Education is designed for both first time offenders with a blood alcohol level >.08 and for those with multiple DUI Offenses.
- Level II Education consists of two‑hour classes held once a week for 12 weeks.
- Substance use illness therapy may be required in addition to Level II DUI education classes.
Level II DUI Therapy

- Level II Therapy is offered in a group setting and is designed to empower clients to address their drug and/or alcohol abuse, DUI citation and other life stressors.
- Each group therapy session is two hours, once a week.
- A substance use illness screening appointment is required for clients entering Level II Therapy directly from Level II Education.
- Specialized womenʼs services are available at designated locations.
- If a client is court ordered to therapy, the client will attend one of four tracks assigned by the courts:
Track A = 42 hours
Track B = 52 hours
Track C = 68 hours
Track D = 86 hours
For clients struggling to maintain sobriety and in need of a more intensive level of care, Arapahoe House offers:
**These therapy hours can count toward the total number of required “track” hours for court ordered clients based on progress determined by Arapahoe House staff.
Monitored Sobriety
Monitored Antabuse, alcohol and drug monitoring via breath, urinalysis (UA), and the drug patch are available.
