Other Drugs FAQ

 

Ecstasy (MDMA, “E”, “XTC”, or “ADAM”)
• Creates a peaceful feeling, euphoria, increased energy, increases desire for physical contact and intimacy, elevates heart rate, blood pressure and pulse, flushing of the skin, blurred vision, nausea, seizures, unconsciousness.
 
LSD (“Acid”)
• Hallucinations, numbness, nausea, sweating, sleeplessness, flashbacks.
 

PCP (Phencyclidine, “Angel dust”)
• Delusions, paranoia, suicidal thoughts.

 

Ephedrine
• Found in over the counter cold medications or inhalers, used at 3 or more times the maximum recommended dose.  Signs and symptoms include: increased heart rate and blood pressure, mood changes, increased energy, vomiting, and heatstroke.
