Aleah Horstman has been with Arapahoe House since December 2008. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 18 years, previously with Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado’s School of Public Affairs and master of science in social administration from Case Western Reserve University. She is a past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Colorado Chapter and a Leadership Denver Class of 2011 graduate. Aleah is a facilitator for Metro Volunteers board leadership training and was the 2014 chair for National Philanthropy Day in Colorado.

Sheryl Blythe is the human resources director at Arapahoe House and has been in the human resources arena for more than 20 years. She spent the last 14 years working in human resources at St. Anthony Hospital, an acute care-Level 1 Trauma Center in Denver, has been their director for the past eight years. Sheryl holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fort Hays State University in Kansas. She is very excited to be part of the mission that Arapahoe House represents and to learn the substance abuse sector in a most complex healthcare world.
Kelly Mahncke, MBA
CFO
Kelly comes to Arapahoe House with significant leadership, healthcare, finance, business development, and operations experience. Her most recent healthcare experience includes a key role as CFO and COO at USA Mobility, Colorado’s largest medical mobility equipment provider. At USA Mobility, she led a strategy that increased revenue by more than 200 percent. She is also a past Arapahoe House board member, including chair of the finance committee, and member of the executive committee. Kelly earned a BA in economics from Colorado College, an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of Colorado at Denver, and holds an executive education certificate from Harvard Business School in value measurement for healthcare. With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, Kelly’s multifaceted healthcare billing and business development expertise are critical to Arapahoe House’s future.
Michael Stackpool, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Michael Stackpool joined Arapahoe House in November 2006. He was born and raised in rural Minnesota and attended the University of Chicago. Dr. Stackpool graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Denver Health, serving as chief resident in his final year. He previously worked for St. Anthony’s Central Hospital, Exempla Lutheran Hospital, and Pridemark Paramedic Services. Dr. Stackpool was elected president and chief financial officer of Emergency Service Physicians in 2005 and held that position for eight years. In 2008, he became medical director of Firestone Fire Protection District EMS. Dr. Stackpool has an ongoing partnership with the Department of Corrections, works closely with state officials on emergency and involuntary commitments, and also runs an active Vivitrol practice.
