Arapahoe House operates three adult social-model detoxification programs in Adams, Arapahoe, and Jefferson Counties. The Aurora Emergency Treatment Unit contains 29 licensed beds. The Wheat Ridge facility in Jefferson County, Detox West, holds 39 licensed beds. Serving Adams County, the Detox North facility in Commerce City contains 28 licensed beds.
The primary goals of these programs are to monitor clients through a safe withdrawal from alcohol and drugs; in addition these programs aim to motivate clients to seek further appropriate treatment. If the client is interested in further treatment, the staff will work with them to help facilitate linkage to ongoing care.
• The individual must be 18 years or older;
• The individual must be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or in withdrawal;
