PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS

Helpdesk Technician: Full time position working Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, in Thornton.  Candidate is responsible for answering all calls received by the department, Tier 1 technical support problem solving, complete support ticket logging and follow up, technical issue assessment and escalation to appropriate technical staff, as needed.  Responsible for regular computer maintenance and updates, workstation set-up, relocations and images, software installations, new user setup, network account maintenance, documentation of procedures and FAQs. Candidate must be very customer service oriented and have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with others to resolve problems, and answer questions related to computer and application use. Requirements include an Associates’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred), or a combination of education and experience.  Ability to travel between our metro offices 2-3 times each week.  Closing date: 11/5/2009.

CLINICAL POSITIONS

Case Manager, HITT:  Full-time position available on our High Intensity Treatment Team (HITT) located in central Denver. Provide case management services to clients diagnosed with primary severe/persistent mental illness and secondary drug and/or alcohol problems. Case Managers provide vocational services and coordinate support services such as substance abuse, mental health and housing options. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Human Services or related field and one year experience working with mental illness.  Closing date:  11/4/2009

Clinical Specialist:  Full-time position, Monday through Friday, for a licensed (LPC/LCSW/LAC) and certified (CAC II) professional for outpatient services. The Clinical Specialist will be on the cutting edge of our growth in the field of behavioral health. A major task of the position will be integration of substance disorder treatment and mental health treatment into medical services.  Must be highly adaptable, a global thinker, have assessment and diagnostic skills, and experience in delivering treatment. Requirements include: both a professional mental health license and a Colorado addictions counselor certification (CAC II), or a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), a minimum of three years experience in substance disorder treatment, and reliable transportation (this position will be required to travel within the metro Denver area). Case management and utilization review experience are a plus. Closing date:  11/5/2009.

Counselor I, Residential Programs, On-Call:  On-call position working overnights, 11:00pm – 7:30am, in Westminster, Thornton, and Littleton.  Primary responsibility is milieu management.  Support clinical activities of the program, including client contact, co-facilitation of groups, case management activities. Assist in the provision of treatment services to residential clients and their children, as well as providing care services and maintaining the safety and security of clients and the facility. Requirements include a minimum of one year related experience.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) or one year of college plus one year of documented work experience in behavioral health, and CAC I preferred, or the ability to receive within one year of hire date.  Certified Addictions Counselor II preferred. Counselor II, Adult Outpatient:  Two fulltime positions for licensed (LPC/LCSW/LAC) and certified (CAC II) professionals at our Aurora outpatient clinic.  Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday schedules are available.  Hours, including evenings, will vary to meet client needs.  Join a treatment team conducting intakes, new client orientation, group facilitation, individual & family counseling sessions, and all related chart management. Requirements include: both a professional mental health license and a Colorado addictions counselor certification (CAC II), or a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). Two years experience of facilitating substance abuse treatment groups is preferred. Closing date: 11/5/2009

Counselor II, Offender Program: Part time position (20 hours per week) available in central Denver working Tuesdays 12noon-4pm, Wednesdays 12noon to 8:30pm, and Saturdays 8am-4:30pm in the Short-Term Intensive Residential Remediation Treatment (STIRRT) Continuing Care (CC) program.  Provide intensive outpatient counseling services for male substance abusers with a correctional background who have completed a residential program.  Provide individual and group counseling services and administer urinalysis, breathalyzer, and Antabuse. Must be able to manage a case load of 35 clients and conduct four groups each week.  Effectively communicate with clients, referral sources and counselors in a team setting.  Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) (Master’s degree preferred), Certified Addictions Counselor II, and a minimum of two years related experience.  Ability to pass Department of Corrections (DOC) Approved Treatment Provider process is necessary.  Experience with the offender population strongly preferred.  Completion of Strategies for Self Improvement and Change (SSC) training is a plus. Must have excellent communication skills and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.   Closing Date: 11/5/2009

Counselor II On-Call:  Earn Extra $$$ for the Holidays!  Seasonal position through mid-January.  Conduct Level II DUI and psych/social classes in outpatient setting.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) with 18 months of documented work experience in behavioral health, plus a Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II); or CAC II preferred or the ability to receive within one year of hire date; license preferred (LCSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT), and a clinical Master’s degree with 1000 hours documentable experience in addiction counseling work and 120 clock hours of addiction-specific education and/or training), group facilitation experience, reliable transportation, and willingness to work at different locations throughout the metro area.  Schedule requires availability working evenings and Saturday days.  Excellent pay. Free access to Certified Addiction Counselor classes. Closing date: Ongoing

Counselor II On-Call, Cultural Services, Bilingual (English/Spanish):  On-Call position in Metro Denver. Individuals will provide group counseling and intake/assessment of individuals with substance abuse problems. Candidate must have the ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.  Ability to maintain positive working relationships with other professionals involved with the client.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) with 18 months of documented work experience in behavioral health, plus a Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II); or CAC II preferred or the ability to receive within one year of hire date; license preferred (LCSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT), and a clinical Master’s degree with 1000 hours documentable experience in addiction counseling work and 120 clock hours of addiction-specific education and/or training). Milieu Counselor On-Call:  Earn Extra $$ for the Holidays!  Seasonal position through mid-January.  Provide admission and discharge services as well as provide a safe environment for clients in detoxification or residential treatment programs.  This is an entry-level opportunity to gain experience in the substance abuse field.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, human services, social work, etc.) or one year of college plus one year of documented work experience in behavioral health, and CAC I preferred, or the ability to receive within one year of hire date, reliable transportation, and willingness to work at different locations throughout the metro area.  Schedule requires availability working a variety of shifts including weekend, overnight and evenings, and holidays.  Excellent pay.  Free access to Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) classes.  Closing date: Ongoing

Phone Counselor, Information and Access – Bilingual (English/ Spanish):  Part time position working Monday through Friday, 9am-2pm (25 hours per week) in Thornton.  Primary duty is phone counseling.  Assess client needs and level of treatment for addictions, make appointments and complete paperwork.  Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services or related field and a minimum of one year phone experience with a high volume of calls.    Prefer experience in a human services and/or non-profit environment. Must have excellent customer service, data entry and typing skills. Candidate must have the ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing. Closing date:  11/5/2009

Team Supervisor, Transitional Residential Treatment:  Full time supervisory position at the Wright Center in Wheat Ridge overseeing the Transitional Residential Treatment program.  Requirements include Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field (Master’s degree preferred), Certified Addictions Counselor III (CAC III), a minimum of four years related experience (substance abuse) with at least two years of supervisory/management experience. The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) requires Counselor II’s and all counseling professionals facilitating therapy groups and/or counseling independently to be registered as an Unlicensed Psychotherapist.  New staff will have 60 days from date of hire to provide proof of registration in the DORA database.  If you are already a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I, II or III), or hold a license as an LPC, LAC, LMFT or LCSW, you are already in the DORA database and do not need to register as an Unlicensed Psychotherapist.
